Congratulations to all players who have played to their best abilities!Kevin Cao had won all his matches and claimed the Gold medal in the Boys Singles A flight. Read more on the Citizen news paper published on May 17 James Richmond and Michael Sullivan won second place in the A division for boys doubles. They never played the team that won first place, but managed to defeat all the other ranked teams in the matches that mattered. Michael said that they played very well today, and beat the third place team in three games, all very close. Matthew Aydemir and Jimmy Mon lost their quarter final match in the B-division for Boys Doubles. All the competitions in the ODBA tournaments have contributed to their wins. Being in the same small town and in the same school gave them all the chance in the world to partner each other to play a lot and play well. Dan Leblanc came to Deep River twice in the last two Saturdays to help them. My sincere thanks to Dan and to ODBA. Jenna Flannigan and Kevin Tseng have done very well too and both won a medal in A flight. Thanks for the inputs from Deep River Club and Cornwall club! |
