Edith Hayman's husband, Douglas, has passed away last Friday, April 11, 2014.

Edith Hayman is an NCCP Technical Level 3 coach and is a Master Course Conductor for Badminton Canada. She has been teaching coaches and junior players since 1958. Over the past 20 years, Many junior player come from out of town to attend the Brantford Junior camp would be the guest of the Hayman's house. Mr Hayman's hospitality and sense of humor Had touched many young badminton player's heart and felt at home away from home. He will be sadly missed.

HAYMAN, Douglas - Peacefully passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital at the age of 84. Loving Husband of Edith Hayman for 61 years. Greatly missed by his son Greg and daughter-in-law Jennifer (nee White) along with their children Anne Marie, Michelle and Laura all of Kitchener; son Geoff and daughter-in-law Christine (nee Van Alphen) of Brantford and their children Michael (Emily, daughter Charlotte), Jennifer Allard (Nathanial, son William) and Mark (Laura); and daughter Cindy Huras and son-in-law Brian Fife of Talbotville and their children Nicholas Huras (Tammy, sons Kayden & Payzlin), Kari Huras (Matt), Alex Fife and Micheala Fife. Survived by his siblings May, Bill (PD) Marie and Jim. Dad loved his family very much, and was a great supporter of the Brantford Junior Badminton Club. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of the 2nd Floor at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. As per Doug’s wishes there will be a private family gathering at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Lung Association in memory of Douglas Hayman.
