Alex Yu has passed away yesterday, April 21, 2021.

Alex passed yesterday, after having led an incredible life, with passion, joy and unselfish and humble dedication, to his work, family and friends.

Please share with his friends among Kanata Badminton Club who you see fit. It was truly a highlight of his life, and he cherishes all his close friendships and fun moments with KBC members, as well as his leadership role and his service to KBC.

Alex was foundational to the Kanata Badminton Club. His leadership and hard work established the basis for our registration, accounting process & reports, and club governance. He made the club better. He worked really hard to ensure the club was successful and fun for all the members.

During my first year at the club your dad and I formed a friendship. I thanked him many times for that. There is a funny trophy with a stuffed toy head in a badminton shuttle that I made for him to say thank you. I can still remember his smile.
