Ottawa District Badminton Association
is presenting
"ODBA
Sunday League" 
October 29, 2006, from 9:00 am to 2:00pm at the Turnbull
 School 
The
first event organized by ODBA for this badminton season. Your
chance to get back to competitive play and to cheer for your teammates while you take on other clubs in this league
format.
Format: 
 
  
   - 4 men and 2 women on a
       club team will play 3 mens doubles, 1 ladies
       doubles and 2 mixed doubles against a team from another club 
 
   - Matches: MD (M1/M2),
       MD (M3/M4), MD (M1/M4), LD (L1/L2), XD(L1/M2),
       XD (L2/M3). Each
       player
       will play 2 matches against another club,
       number of clubs depends on the number of entries. 
 
   - There are 6 courts
       available. Some clubs will start at 9:00am while others will start at 11:00.am.
       Depending on the number of clubs registering, there may be some time
       available for a singles round robin.
 
   - Entries will be
       limited to the first 12 teams to register.
 
   - All matches will be
       using the new 21-rally-point scoring system, 2 sets out of 3. Read the

Cost: 
 
  
   - $8/person
       for ODBA players, $10/person for non-ODBA players 
 
   - Nylon shuttles are
       provided
 
  
 
Registration: 
 
  
   - Captains
       of teams should register their club by e-mailing the player names to jana.kriz@servicecanada.gc.ca. Please
       indicate your preference of the starting time (9:00am or 11:00am) and
       your own assessment of the team's strength (A/B/C). 
 
   - Entry
       deadline: October 25, 2006. 
 
   - Please bring one
       cheque per team to the event (cheques payable to Ottawa District Badminton
       Association).

Turnbull School - 1132 Fisher Avenue (between Carling
and Baseline)
