Dear Friends,
The Finnish International has just finished, and I am not the winner, unfortunately. I lost in the quarter-final to Carl Baxter, who, as many of you know, is from Ottawa and about 7 years my junior. Carl now trains in England where he has improved tons in the last few years. He was just too fast for me on this day. I have to admit that I was feeling slightly worn down after a very tough second round match the day before. That being said, I had some very good moments to turn a possible route into a well-contested match. He played very well and if I had to lose to anybody, I'm glad it was to him!He won his semi-final against Malaysia's former number 1, but lost the final in a thriller...Overall, I think a very good result for him.
